Enhancements:

1) Conversion from Excel

– Modified so that date and date/time fields are correctly formatted in the user's locale.

Corrections:

1) Conversion from Word

  • Hanging indentation was not correctly processed.
  • There was a problem with field output processing in a cell.
  • The object was not right aligned with the grouped text.
  • The text that was displayed normally above the shape was not displayed.
  • A table overlapped the WordArt object due to the problem in processing of the alignment.
  • The paragraph was placed incorrectly due to the problem in wrapping the layout frame.
  • The columns that had different column width was not converted correctly.
  • A list was not indented correctly when a hanging indent was specified.

  • Cell borders were not outputted when the dimension of a cell was not correctly set in the Excel file.
  • Text in a cell was misaligned because a white-space was incorrectly processed.
  • Text in a balloon overflowed.

3) Conversion from RTF

  • The resulting PDF output lost the bullet points in the unordered list.
  • The picture, and the table were all lost when converting RTF to SVG, the problem was resolved by changing the default page size of A4 to letter.
  • The frames that had text inside seemed to be rendered at the wrong position.
  • The xlspaper option did not work correctly and resulted in the wrong page numbers.
  • Characters overlapped in a text box without breaking a line.

4) Conversion from PowerPoint

– Text was outputted in a wrong position when a shape was next to it.

5) Other

  • The environment variable set when installing SBC was incorrect.
  • The background was filled in color due to the problem in processing the Vector image, such as EMF.
  • Images in the slide were not visible in output when the mineType was unknown.
  • Text and images dropped due to the problem in processing the down-sampling.
  • The color was inverted when converting TIFF to PDF.
  • The only size of the beginning page differed when converting Multi TIFF to PDF.
  • When PDF was embedded in a comment of EMF, an error returned.
  • The position of the labels in an Excel graph was incorrect.

Corrections:

1) Conversion from Word
*ChartML pasted in Word 2007 can now be converted.
*Diagonal borders in the table cell can now be converted.
*Cell borders could not be converted or became thin.
*List numbers were normal in the original file, but became italicized in the output file.

2) Conversion from Excel
*The border width can now be scaled to fit to the original.
*Paper size, paper orientation, scaling to fit into the number of printed pages and margins settings can now be specified. See also “Excel function for paper setting” under MS Excel Transformation in the online manual.
*The day of the week is displayed in English in the output file, even though the original file was in Japanese.

3) Conversion from PowerPoint
*Improved the support for the textbox autofit option; text is no longer being rotated unexpectedly.
*Text overlapped when converting to JPEG.
*Text was rotated in the converted Powerpoint.

4) Chart Conversion
*Support for aligning multiple lines in a label.

Corrections:

*There was a case where the outline of a FreeType font was not acquired and a character was missing.

2) Conversion from Word
*There was a problem in the font output specific to majorFont and minorFont.
*The Calibri font specified in the document was not used in the output PDF.
*When a shape was rotated by 180-degrees, the output position shifted.
*Underlines were broken off.
*Images were placed incorrectly.
*The page number in the header was not outputted correctly.
*A title and a title number were outputted in the previous page.
*The page number in the footer was not outputted correctly.
*The line appeared to be rendered well below where it should be.

3) Conversion from Excel
*The conversion process did not end or took excessive time when converting Excel file with many sheets.
*The processing time was very long if the script change occurred frequently with a long character string.
*There was a problem in the rendering processing of a pie chart and the program ended abnormally.
*When the text was centered, borders were not correctly outputted.

4) Conversion from PowerPoint
*When the style was not specified to the table, there was a case where a border was not outputted.

*A word was wrapped to the next line and overwrote the content there.
*The text was drawn at the wrong position.
*The page footer was drawn in the wrong place.

*The shading cell was filled in black.

*The SBC program folder was created directly under C drive when executed by a user cannot access appData.

*The gradation part was outputted as blots. A part of gradation is now supported.

*An error occurred when converting PPT to PNG with 32bit JAVA.

5) Conversion from RTF
*The text was underlined unexpectedly.
*Images overlapped with each other.
*Figures, such as expressions, were garbled.
*All the outputs of the footer in a table were shifted to the right.
*The column of the right side in a table was cut off.
*Only the first table was outputted and the next two were discarded.

4) Conversion from RTF
*There was a problem in the processing of the cell size in a table and an application error occurred.
*There were problems in the processing of the table format, column and shape output, number of pages increased drastically.
*SBC did not respond when converting a file with a very big table.
*The table cells appeared to add the size of the previous cell to their own.
*rtf files with a strike mark through all the words generated an error.

*The shape in the slide master was outputted in the wrong position.
*The gradient in the background of a title was disregarded.

*A segmentation error occurred when the body has no text.

*The font size was not correct.

*A background color differed from the original with the application operated by Windows service.

*A contour line and a radar graph in MS ChartML were not converted.
*A legend in a chart was garbled.
*A segmentation error occurred due to AutoShape processing issues.

*A filename with spaces caused an error and could not be converted.

V5.0 MR1 Windows/Linux June 20, 2013

Enhancements:

1) Support for the conversion from OpenOffice.org/LibreOffice (Using the OOSBC Option)
2) Support for the image output in Linux (Using the GSSBC Option)
3) The tag (Structured Document Tag) in the table is now supported with the conversion from Word.
4) SBC now produces an error message when converting unsupported versions Excel files (Excel5/95).
5) When a font can be created by the font name in PDF, priority is given to that font and it was made not to replace it

* The character width of MSP Gothic might not be acquired and characters overlapped.

* When processing the file with “conditional format” that was not supported, no error message appeared.

4) Conversion from PowerPoint
* Arrows were not outputted.
* There was a problem in processing the balloon content area, the page break position shifted.
* The bit map data could not be converted.

5) Image conversion
* Some parts were outputted black when the application ran on Windows service.
* There was a problem in processing the clipping rectangle when drawing a rotated pattern resulting in a missing figure.
* When a large image was outputted separately, the image quality was poor.
* When an image was outputted from a rotated image, the image quality was poor.

* Even if the number of pages, which did not exist, was specified to the [-start] and [- end] options, the conversion ended without an error message.
